How to Reset Wi-Fi & Password for myanywAiR NEXT

If your myanywAiR NEXT adaptor needs to be connected to a new Wi-Fi network or router, you’ll need to reset its Wi-Fi settings.
This is commonly required when a modem or router is replaced, or when network credentials (SSID or password) have changed.

When to Perform a Wi-Fi Reset

You should reset Wi-Fi settings if:

  • Your internet modem or router has been replaced.

  • The network name (SSID) or password has changed.

  • The adaptor is not appearing online in the myanywAiR app.

  • Ownership of the unit has been transferred to a new user.

Wi-Fi Reset Options

There are two methods for resetting the Wi-Fi connection depending on your unit type.

Option 1: Controller Method

(Applicable to KMTC, KMTD, and KMCD models)

These models allow Wi-Fi reset directly via the controller interface.

  1. Access the controller’s Wi-Fi setup menu.

  2. Select Reset Wi-Fi Settings or Reconfigure Network.

  3. Follow the on-screen prompts to connect to your new Wi-Fi network.

  4. Once the connection completes, the Wi-Fi indicator light will stop blinking.

This is the simplest and preferred method for compatible models.

Option 2: Withdrawal (Physical Reset) Method

(For all other models — including wall-hung, ducted, and cassette types)

If your model does not support controller-based reset, you can reset Wi-Fi manually using the withdrawal sequence:

Reset Steps

  1. Unplug the myanywAiR NEXT adaptor from its port or connector.

  2. Wait 3 seconds.

  3. Plug it back in, then remove it again after 2 seconds.

  4. Repeat this plug-in/plug-out sequence 10 times.

After completing the 10th cycle, the Wi-Fi LED on the air conditioner will begin blinking slowly — confirming that the Wi-Fi has been reset and is ready for new configuration.

You can now reconnect the adaptor through the myanywAiR NEXT app’s Wi-Fi setup wizard.

Accessibility and Placement Tips

Depending on the installation, the adaptor’s location may vary. Here are some recommended placements for easy access during service:

  • Wall-Hung Units:
Coil a small length of the adaptor cable and tuck it neatly above the unit, out of sight but easily reachable.

  • Ducted Units:
Route the adaptor lead into the return air box, allowing access through the same panel used for filter cleaning.

  • Cassette or Bulkhead Units:
Ensure the adaptor is accessible through the service panel or ceiling cavity.

After Reset

Once Wi-Fi is reset:

  1. Open the myanywAiR NEXT app.

  2. Follow the Wi-Fi setup wizard to connect to your new network.

  3. Confirm that the Wi-Fi indicator light becomes steady, indicating a successful connection.
