Wall-Mounted Split Installation Guide

For approved AOTG30KMTA R32 outdoor units and model-specific matched systems
R32 flammable refrigerant: Installation, pressure testing, evacuation, charging and service work must be completed by qualified personnel using R32/R410A-rated tools and materials. Remove ignition sources, ventilate the work area and use an R32-compatible leak detector.
Room-area requirement: Confirm the actual total refrigerant charge against the model-specific room-area table before installation. The outdoor manual also states that the appliance must not be installed in an unventilated space smaller than 14.13 m² at the maximum specified charge.

Human sensor: Approximate detection range is 7 m, 90° vertically and 100° horizontally. Keep heaters and large objects outside the detection area.
Outdoor flare requirement: The indoor manual states that the flare connection must be located outdoors.

Piping directions

Rear Right Bottom
  1. Secure the wall-hook bracket level using at least five suitable fixing screws.
  2. Cut an 80 mm wall hole with the outside edge 5–10 mm lower than the inside edge.
  3. Fit a wall pipe and wall cap so the interconnection cable cannot contact raw metal.
  4. Keep the drain hose below the refrigerant pipes and maintain continuous fall.
  5. Engage the upper hooks first, then press the lower section onto both bottom hooks.
Drainage: Do not lift the drain hose, create waves or submerge its end. Apply freeze protection where the drain hose may be exposed below 0°C.

  • Mount on a secure base at least 50 mm wide using four M10 anchor bolts.
  • Anchor-bolt projection should be approximately 20 mm.
  • Do not tilt the unit more than 3°.
  • Do not install directly on the ground.
  • Do not use the accessory drain pipe or caps where outdoor temperature may reach 0°C or below.
  • Provide snow protection and adequate elevation in cold climates.

4. Flare connections

Use R32/R410A-compatible flare tools. Maintain a bend radius of at least 70 mm and do not bend the same pipe section more than three times.

5. Sealing test and vacuum

Dry nitrogen only. Never use oxygen, compressed air, refrigerant or flammable gas for pressure testing.
  1. Confirm service valves are closed and power remains isolated.
  2. Pressure-test the completed piping with dry nitrogen in accordance with the outdoor manual and local requirements.
  3. Leak-test all flare connections and brazed joints.
  4. Connect a clean R32/R410A manifold and vacuum pump.
  5. Evacuate to -0.1 MPa / -76 cmHg and continue the vacuum process for at least 15 minutes.
  6. Close the manifold, stop the pump and confirm the vacuum holds.
  7. Fully open the service valves and tighten all service caps to the specified torque.
  8. Add liquid R32 by electronic scale at 40 g/m for pipework longer than 20 m.

6. Electrical wiring

Match terminals 1, 2 and 3 between indoor and outdoor units and connect protective earth. Clamp cables by the outer sheath.

7. UTY-TWRX 2-wire controller kit

Required for compatible 2-wire wired controllers: The UTY-TWRX kit adds the terminal block and communication PCB required to connect the 2-wire remote controller to the indoor unit.
1Isolate power and discharge static electricity before installation.
2Remove the intake grille, four caps, wire cover, ten front-panel screws and the front panel.
3Remove the two control-box-cover screws and remove the cover.
4Install the terminal block using the supplied M4×25 screw and route its wires under the existing harnesses and tabs.
5Connect the terminal-block harness to indoor main-PCB connector CN12.
6Connect the remote-controller cable to the terminal block, matching the red and white conductors.
7Secure the controller cable with the supplied clamp and M4×14 screw.
8Install the two holders onto the indoor main PCB, then insert the communication PCB firmly between them.
9Use one of the four marked front-panel knockouts for the controller cable, then refit the control-box cover, front panel, screws, caps, wire cover and intake grille.
Important: Do not connect the wired controller to the power-supply terminals. Use the controller cable supplied with the wired controller. Recommended controller cable length is 10 m; insulate all extended joints.

8. Test run and commissioning

Hold the indoor-unit MANUAL AUTO button for more than 10 seconds to begin forced cooling. The OPERATION and TIMER lamps flash together. Select HEAT with the remote controller for a heating test. End the test using START/STOP.

Final handover: Leave the installation and operating manuals with the customer. Record the pipe length, total refrigerant charge, optional controller details and any changed function settings.
