| 02 — Static pressure 1 | 100 Pa |
| 03 — Static pressure 2 | 150 Pa |
| 04 — Static pressure 3 | 200 Pa |
| 05 — Static pressure 4 | 250 Pa |
3. Refrigerant pipework and charge
| Standard liquid pipe | 9.52 mm (3/8 in.) |
| Standard gas pipe | 15.88 mm (5/8 in.) |
| Factory refrigerant charge | 3,450 g R410A |
| Pre-charge length | 30 m with standard 3/8 in. liquid + 5/8 in. gas pipe |
| Maximum pipe length | 75 m with standard pipe sizes |
| Maximum height difference | 30 m |
| Additional charge — standard pipe sizes | 50 g/m for piping beyond 30 m |
Important: Different maximum lengths and refrigerant charge rates apply if pipe sizes are changed. Use the pipe-size selection and additional-charge tables in the technical manual before altering the standard 3/8 in. liquid and 5/8 in. gas sizes.
Capacity reduction with long pipework
System capacity reduces as pipe length and height difference increase. As an example, at 75 m pipe length and zero height difference, the manual gives a cooling compensation factor of 0.753 and a heating compensation factor of 0.935.
4. Electrical requirements
| System supply | 240 V AC, 50 Hz |
| Maximum system current | 23.5 A |
| Circuit breaker | 30 A |
| Outdoor power cable | 6.0 mm² minimum |
| Indoor maximum operating current | 3.5 A |
| Indoor-to-outdoor connection cable | 1.5 mm² minimum; listed limit 75 m |
Electrical work: Cable selection, protection and installation must comply with the applicable local electrical rules. The technical manual notes that conductor size should be increased if voltage drop reaches 2% or more.
5. Controllers and optional parts
| Part | Model | Purpose |
|---|
| Wired remote controller | UTY-RVNYN | Full-dot display controller; supports function settings, timers and sensor control. |
| Wired remote controller | UTY-RNNYN | Wired controller with weekly/setback timer and built-in temperature sensor. |
| Simple remote controller | UTY-RSNYN | Basic Start/Stop, fan, temperature and mode control. |
| IR receiver unit | UTY-LRHYM | Infrared receiver option. |
| Zone control interface | UTY-CDPXZC / UTY-CDPXZD | Controls individual zone airflow by operating supply-air dampers. |
| Remote sensor | UTY-XSZX | Remote room temperature sensing. |
| Indoor external control set | UTD-ECS5A | Connection leads for indoor external input/output functions. |
| Outdoor external connect kit | UTY-XWZXZ3 | Required for outdoor low-noise, peak-cut and status I/O. |
Dual wired remote controllers
Two wired remote controllers can be connected for local and remote control. One controller must be configured as Primary/Master and the second as Secondary/Slave. Timer functionality on the secondary controller is restricted.
Indoor external input / output
| Function | Connector |
|---|
| Control input — Operation/Stop or Forced Stop | CN103 |
| Operation status output | CN100 |
| Error status output | CN101 |
| Fresh-air control output | CN161 |
| Auxiliary heater output | CN160 |
Outdoor external input / output
| Function | Connector |
|---|
| Low noise mode input | CN10 |
| Peak cut mode input | CN11 |
| Error status output | CN12 |
| Compressor status output | CN13 |
Low noise mode: Level 1 reduces rated outdoor sound by approximately 2 dB and Level 2 by approximately 4 dB. Performance may reduce while low noise mode is active.
Peak cut: Outdoor peak-cut settings are provided for approximately 0%, 50%, 75% or 100% of rated input. Restricting input can reduce available capacity.
6. Common indoor function settings
| Function | No. | Key settings |
|---|
| Filter sign interval | 11 | 00 = 2,500 h; 01 = 5,000 h; 02 = 1,250 h; 03 = no indication |

| Cooling room-temp correction | 30 | 00 standard; 01 higher; 02 slightly higher; 03 slightly lower; 04 lower |
| Heating room-temp correction | 31 | 00 standard; 01 higher; 02 slightly higher; 03 slightly lower; 04 lower |
| Auto restart | 40 | 00 enable; 01 disable |

| Room sensor switching — auxiliary | 48 | 00 both; 01 wired remote controller only. Function 42 must first be set to 01. |
After changing indoor function settings: Turn the power off, wait at least 30 seconds, then turn it back on. The manual states that the new function setting will not become active until this power cycle is completed.
Fan delay for auxiliary heater
Jumper JM42 controls the one-minute indoor fan delay after the unit stops while operating with an auxiliary heater. Factory condition is connected = delay invalid; disconnecting JM42 enables the one-minute fan delay.
