Overview

The myanywAiR® system enables users to manage their Fujitsu General air conditioners or heat pumps remotely via the myanywAiR App.
Each Wi-Fi adaptor connects directly to one indoor unit, allowing individual or grouped control through the app.

This article explains how many devices can be controlled, system limitations, and recommended configurations for homes or commercial applications.

1. Device Control Structure

ComponentPurposeControl Limitation
anywAiR® Wi-Fi AdaptorPhysical Wi-Fi interface that connects to the indoor unit.Controls one (1) indoor unit per adaptor.
myanywAiR® AppSoftware interface used on smartphone or tablet. Can control multiple adaptors/units, depending on configuration.
Cloud Server (Fujitsu General)Manages data transfer between app and units for remote access.Supports multiple registered units under one account.

2. Maximum Number of Units

  • Each indoor unit requires its own Wi-Fi adaptor.
For example, a home with 3 indoor wall-mounted systems will require 3 separate anywAiR adaptors.

  • The myanywAiR App can register and control up to 20 individual adaptors under a single account (Apple or Android).

  • Users can group these units into zones or locations within the app (e.g., Living Room, Bedroom, Office) for easier management.

? Example:
A small office with five ASTG09KMTC units can install five adaptors.
All five units will appear in the app and can be operated individually or grouped for “All On/Off” control.

3. Multi-User Access

  • Multiple users can log in to the same account and control shared devices.

  • Alternatively, each user can create their own account and be granted access to the same system.

  • Changes made by one user (e.g., turning the unit off) are immediately reflected on all devices logged into that account.

⚠️ Note for Technicians:
Ensure customers understand that if multiple users share an account, settings such as timers or mode changes can be overwritten by others.

4. Zoning and Grouping Options

  • The myanywAiR App allows group creation for easier management.

  • Groups (e.g., Upstairs Bedrooms) can include multiple Wi-Fi adaptors.

  • Commands sent to a group are broadcast to all units in that group simultaneously.

? Technician Tip: Group control relies on cloud communication; all connected adaptors must have stable Wi-Fi signals to receive synchronized commands.

5. For VRF or Multi-System Installations

  • In VRF or large commercial environments, myanywAiR® is not intended to replace central building controls (e.g., VRF central controllers).

  • It is best suited for individual split or multi split indoor units.

  • For large-scale commercial networks, use the Fujitsu VRF Service Tool or centralized touch controllers for full operational integration.

6. Recommended Practices

  • Assign unique and descriptive names to each indoor unit during setup (e.g., Master Bedroom Unit 1).

  • Document all adaptors and their corresponding unit serial numbers in the commissioning report.

  • Verify all units appear correctly in the app before leaving the site.

  • Educate customers on grouping and renaming features to simplify their experience.

7. Summary

ScenarioNumber of Adaptors NeededControl via App

Large commercial building (VRF system)MultipleUse central controller – myanywAiR not recommended

Key Takeaways

  • Each Wi-Fi adaptor = 1 indoor unit.

  • The myanywAiR App can control up to 20 units simultaneously.

  • Units can be organized into groups for convenience.

  • Shared control among multiple users is supported but requires coordination.

  • Not suitable as a replacement for centralized VRF building management systems.
