Wireless Remote Controller - Troubleshooting Flow Chart

Quick check procedure when the wireless remote controller is not operating the indoor unit
Use this flow to separate a wireless remote controller issue from an indoor unit / system issue. The key checks are the controller display, batteries, ACL reset, wireless operation and the indoor unit manual operation button.
Important: Do not replace the wireless remote controller until the battery and ACL checks have been completed and the indoor unit has been confirmed to operate from its manual button.

Troubleshooting flow

Is there a display on the wireless controller?
YES - Display is visible
  1. Check whether the indoor unit will turn on using the manual button on the indoor unit.
  2. If the indoor unit operates manually, press the ACL button on the wireless controller.
  3. Test operation again using the wireless remote controller.
  4. If it still does not operate, change the batteries and repeat the test.
NO - No display
  1. Confirm whether the batteries have already been changed.
  2. If not, replace the batteries.
  3. Press the ACL button.
  4. Check again for a display on the wireless controller.
  5. If a display is restored, continue with the wireless operation test.

Key checks

1Controller display: Confirm whether anything is visible on the LCD.
2Batteries: Replace the batteries when the display is blank or remote operation is unreliable.
3ACL: Press the ACL button after battery replacement / as part of the controller reset check.
4Manual operation: Use the indoor unit manual button to determine whether the indoor unit itself can operate independently of the wireless remote.

Outcome guide

Complete: The indoor unit responds correctly to the wireless remote after the battery / ACL checks.
New remote required: The indoor unit operates correctly from its manual button, but the wireless remote still does not control the unit after the battery and ACL checks.
Service call required: The indoor unit does not operate from the manual button. Further system diagnosis is required rather than replacing the wireless remote controller.
