Wi-Fi Setup and Registration Flow
FGLair registration and WLAN adaptor troubleshooting
Use this process when registering a compatible air conditioner to FGLair or when Wi-Fi registration does not complete successfully.
Before starting: Confirm the indoor unit has a Wi-Fi adaptor installed or is a compatible "B" model, the air conditioner can be operated from its remote controller, and the customer has access to the Wi-Fi network and email account used for FGLair.
1. Initial checks

2. FGLair account setup
- Open the FGLair app.
- If the customer is not already registered, register an FGLair account.
- Confirm the customer receives the registration email.
- Activate the account from the same device being used for setup.
- Continue to Wi-Fi registration.
If the registration email is not received: verify the email address used during registration and complete the account activation before continuing with air-conditioner registration.
3. Button mode registration
Use Button Mode where the router supports the required push-button/WPS setup.
- Check the indoor WLAN indication. The flow chart expects LED 1 solid and LED 2 flashing slowly before proceeding.
- Select Button Mode in FGLair.
- Press the WPS button on the router.
- Press Register in FGLair.
- Registration is successful when LED 1 and LED 2 both flash twice and FGLair displays a success message.
If LED 1 and LED 2 become solid: the flow chart identifies this as the unit potentially being registered to another user. Check the Ayla dashboard before continuing.
4. Manual mode registration
Use Manual Mode if Button Mode is not being used or does not complete successfully.
- Press and hold the Setting button on the WLAN adaptor.
- Check whether LED 1 and LED 2 are both solid.
- Check whether the air conditioner SSID is visible on the phone/tablet.
- If the AC SSID is present, select the air-conditioner SSID.
- Enter the unit PIN number when requested.
- Confirm the PIN is accepted.
- Select the customer's 2.4 GHz wireless network.
- Confirm the SSID password is correct.
- Confirm the selected SSID is operating on 2.4 GHz.
- Confirm the air conditioner is within range of the router.
- Complete registration. Successful registration is indicated by LED 1 and LED 2 flashing twice together with a success message in FGLair.
If the customer does not have the PIN number: record the air-conditioner SSID and contact FGL as directed by the original setup flow chart.
5. LED quick reference
| LED condition | Meaning / next action in the flow chart |

6. Troubleshooting registration failures
| Issue | Check / action |

| AC SSID is not present | Reset power, wait 1 minute, then recheck for the AC SSID. |
| Registration does not complete | Confirm the router network is 2.4 GHz, confirm the SSID password, and check the air conditioner is within router range. |
| Unexpected LED state | Reset power and wait 1 minute, then restart the relevant registration path. |
| LED 1 and LED 2 remain solid | Check whether the unit is already registered to another user using the Ayla dashboard. |
| No PIN available | Record the air-conditioner SSID and contact FGL. |
| FGLair/app issue suspected | Confirm FGLair and the mobile operating system are updated and that Australia is set as the region. |
Successful completion: The flow is complete when FGLair reports successful registration and the adaptor LEDs give the corresponding success indication.
