VII Outdoor Unit Function Settings

F1 monitor mode and F2 field-setting reference
Use this reference when checking operating data or configuring supported field settings from the outdoor unit PCB. F1 is used to display monitor values. F2 is used for field settings.
Important: Change settings only when the applicable system design, installation requirements and service documentation confirm that a change is required. Record original settings before making any adjustment.

F1 — Monitor Mode

Push-switch monitor mode on the outdoor unit PCB displays system, component and refrigerant-cycle information using the following item codes.

F2 — Setting Mode

The following table reproduces the field-setting items and available setting codes shown in the supplied VII reference. Default identifies the setting marked as standard in the source.

Setting Notes

  • *1 Backup operation ON: if one compressor fails, backup operation will be performed by the remaining compressor.
  • *2 Backup operation OFF: if one compressor fails, all units will abnormal stop.
  • *3 Electricity meter number: when the electricity meter number is set to 000 or 201–299, pulse input to CN135 becomes ineffective. Available setting numbers are 001–200.
  • *4 Electricity meter pulse setting: when set to 0000, pulse input to CN135 becomes ineffective. Available setting numbers are 0001–9999.
Technician tip: Use F1 to capture live values before changing F2 settings. This provides a useful baseline when diagnosing capacity, pressure, temperature, EEV or compressor-operation concerns.
